Her pieces seek to show the reality, examine people honestly. The gray graphite shades seek to represent uncertainty, offering a nostalgic air, suggesting a parallel reality, however faraway. The images saturated with graphite allow the possibility of a distant materialism. She uses the force of the portrait as a resource to create pieces that locate people in a space or context, and selects faces that through their looks and expressions generate a reflection of our contemporary society.

Her works have been exhibited in Mexico, Hungary and will be soon the Netherlands.

Lola Cervant was born in Mexico in 1989. She obtained her Bachelor degree in Design at UASLP (Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí Inicio, Mexico) in 2014; in 2014-2015, she is a guest student at the University of Fine Arts (Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem, Budapest) on a grant of Balassi Institute (Balassi Intézet).

Her interest lies between the fields of art and design; her graphic work focuses on depicting the contemporary society.
