One can easily get surprised if they think the artist merely got carried away with all these colors on his canvases. In Iceland, the algae are rusty, the waterfalls and the walls of the caves look rosy at sunset and all the mosses, lichens and tiny plants, which cover the whole island, have the most improbable shades of red, ocher, white and green.
